On May 4, Al Jazeera English ran a report suggesting that U.S. soldiers in Afghanistan may have been violating anti-proselytizing rules by distributing Dari-and Pashto-language New Testament Bibles.(source)
This is an interesting quote for one reason, it clearly shows that the US has customs and standards of respect for host countries. Now I know that this is true because when my husband was stationed in Germany- we were constantly reminded(schooled) on the proper etiquette for the host country. By the way, the US denies the above report here.
What I gather from my thinking on this blog is one important thing- "We lack respect for our nation completely and wholeheartedly." Our leaders ignore almost daily, the customs the needs, the wants and the desires of the people. They have ignored for a good long time that our people are for the most part Christians in background. They removed the Ten Commandments, canceled Christmas except for the consumerism, have turned their backs on who we really are. In my humble opinion, our nation led by a bunch of greedy, political elitist, has turned into a hollow shell of what it once was.
What do you say we hold our leaders accountable for the customs and standards that founded this great land? Now is the time.
